MILWAUKEE, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI) today announced the release of its latest Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) online sustainability report. The online matrix provides a detailed review of the company's financial, environmental and social performance over the past year.

The matrix complements the company's 2009 Business and Sustainability Report, which was released in December 2009 and is available in six languages. The GRI reporting framework provides companies with a uniform and transparent set of metrics to systematically report on sustainability initiatives and results.

The matrix offers a quick, easily accessible database of the company's results in 2009 across a broad range of topics. Highlights include:

* Financial performance for fiscal year 2009
* Metrics and information on the impact of the company's business activities on the environment and society
* Details of the company's partnerships with key organizations including the Carbon Disclosure Project, the Student Conservation Association and the United Nations Global Compact

"Since the foundation of our company 125 years ago, Johnson Controls has offered products and services to help make our customers' businesses and operations more sustainable," said Charles A. Harvey, vice president of Diversity and Public Affairs. "We focus on our own environmental performance and community programs with the same discipline we apply to working with customers. The GRI matrix clearly communicates our current initiatives in all these areas, as well as our long-term commitment to sustainability."

In February, Institutional Investor Magazine cited Johnson Controls as America's Most Shareholder-Friendly Company in the category of consumer - autos and auto parts. The company was also recognized for the third consecutive year with SAM's highest Gold Class sustainability rating in the auto parts and tires category. In March, Corporate Responsibility magazine ranked Johnson Controls 22nd among the 100 Best Corporate Citizens in the United States.

The company's commitment to sustainability has earned it industry and community recognition around the world. It is listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index and World Index, the Domini 400 Social Index, KLD Global Climate 100 Index, the FTSE4Good Index Series, the Calvert Social Index and the Maplecroft Bloomberg Climate Innovation Index.

Munters Corporation Receives Intel's Prestigious Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement Award

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 4, 2010 ? Munters Corporation has been recognized as one of 10 suppliers to receive Intel Corporation?s prestigious Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) award. The award recognizes extraordinary commitment to quality and exceptional performance to Intel?s goals and is the company?s highest honor for its suppliers. In 2009 Munters provided VOC abatement equipment deemed vital to Intel?s success.

?We at Munters are proud to again receive this most prestigious SCQI award from Intel. As a leading provider of energy-efficient air treatment solutions for demanding applications, our continuous improvement proceeds within the long term customer partnerships with Intel and other customers,? said Lars Engström, CEO of Munters Group.

?We are pleased to announce that Munters Corporation has received Intel?s SCQI award for the second year in a row. Munters has been a valuable partner to Intel for over a decade. We congratulate them for their achievement and look forward to their continued support,? said Tom Brady, Corporate Environmental manager, Intel.

The SCQI award is part of Intel?s Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement program, which encourages Intel?s key suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for SCQI status, suppliers must score at least 95 percent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology and customer satisfaction goals. Suppliers must also achieve 90 percent or greater on a challenging improvement plan and demonstrate solid quality and business systems. Furthermore, this year?s awardees demonstrated compliance to the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition Code of Conduct and Intel?s Environmental Social Governance Program. Additional information about the SCQI program is available at http://supplier.intel.com/quality.

Celebrations to honor the SCQI award winners will be held in conjunction with Intel?s Supplier Day events in Tokyo, Japan and Anaheim, California during the month of March 2010. In addition, an announcement will run in the March 31 U.S. edition and April 1 Europe and Asia editions of The Wall Street Journal with acknowledgement on Intel?s corporate Web site, www.intel.com.
